Today I’m sharing the haul of books I bought, acquired or borrowed in August 2022 for Stacking the Shelves, a meme hosted by Reading Reality.
Purchases
I got some mystery paperback books from The Works last week for £1 each (proceeds to charity) and I was delighted when I opened them to discover a fantasy trilogy which has been on my wish list for a while.
I also got The Sandman #1 Preludes & Nocturnes by Neil Gaiman from Forbidden Planet in Nottingham (amazing sjop!) as I’m enjoying the audiobook and TV show.
I ordered the eBook of Once Upon a Winter after seeing it in one of the featured author’s newsletter. I love fairytale retellings and thought it would be perfect for cosying up with when the weather turns colder.
Small, Everyday Fae is a new folklore book by my talented blog buddy Ronel Janse Van Vuuren. I love her books and this cover is gorgeous! I just had to get the eBook.
The eBook of Ma Tutt’s Donut Hut was another impulse buy after reading Lyn Perry’s blog. I enjoy cozy mysteries that contain both food and cats!

Gifts & Giveaways
No gifted or borrowed books this week, which is probably a good thing after the huge birthday haul I had a few weeks ago.
I got the eBook of Exiles ,a dystopian by Ashley Saunders free through Amazon First Reads:
I’m not sure when I’ll have time to read this lot as I’m starting back to work soon, but c’est la vie!

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing any new books you are adding to your shelves, whether physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in stores or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts, and of course ebooks!
The meme is now hosted by Reading Reality. Please see the official launch page for more info.

Have you read any of these books? What have you added to your shelves lately? Feel free to share the link to your Stacking the Shelves post in the comments and I will be sure to visit you!
Thanks for the shout-out 🙂
You’re welcome! I’m looking forward to reading it.
