Not much writing news of late, except that I had a wonderful time delivering a writing workshop at Boston Book Fest. I did a lot of networking with other authors and joined a few mailing lists for local writers which I think could lead to some exciting opportunities.

I’m afraid I’m late posting as I completely forgot what day of the week it was. Before I get onto my views on originality, a quick writing update. I’m off work for the summer holidays and I’ve been planning some short stories for a few anthology calls that close at the end of August.
I didn’t work on any writing projects last month as I was tied up with the Blogging from A-Z Challenge. I have, once again, lost my writing mojo.
First, I must apologise for missing last month’s IWSG post. Life has been hectic lately and, as always when I’m beginning to feel overwhelmed, my hobbies are the first things I have to drop in order to get the essentials done.
Happy New Year, everyone! I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and that you’re starting the year happy and healthy. After a difficult couple of months, I’m excited by the fresh start that the New Year brings.
My short story “Beneath the Roots” will be featured in the anthology Fall Into Fantasy 2021, coming September 21st from Cloaked Press.
It’s been a busy month at work but I’m currently on half-term break for a week. I’m hoping to have fun with my daughter and recharge my batteries before the madness of term 6 begins.
I realised today that I haven’t done one of these updates since March. Oops. Things have been quite busy since I finished working from home and returned to working in school full time.
