Today I’m sharing the haul of books I bought, acquired or borrowed recently for Stacking the Shelves, a meme hosted by Reading Reality.
I snagged a few bargains from a charity shop for the grand total of £1! They were 50p each and there was a “buy two, get one free” offer! So, I couldn’t afford not to, really.
I’ve not read any of Rick Riordan’s books in full yet, but I couldn’t resist this gorgeous hardback at that price. Hopefully, it will be good. The non-fiction book got my attention with the title as I’m interested in gentle parenting and child psychology. I bought the Jaqueline Wilson book with my daughter in mind as I remember enjoying it as a child.
Gifts & Giveaways-My Birthday Haul!
I got these wonderful books from my family for my birthday:
As you can see, I haven’t quite got the hang of TikTok yet. But I’ve been having fun experimenting with transitions and filters.
I didn’t even know there were Stranger Things novels until recently and now I’m on a mission to read them all! The others have been on my wishlist for a while.
This was free through Amazon First Reads:
It’s historical fiction, which isn’t usually my thing, but they didn’t have any fantasy or sci-fi this month so I thought I’d give it a go. It’s set during the Second World War, so might be quite interesting.
I’m excited to get stuck into this haul of books! I could just use another few months off work…
Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing any new books you are adding to your shelves, whether physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in stores or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts, and of course ebooks!
The meme is now hosted by Reading Reality. Please see the official launch page for more info.
Have you read any of these titles? What new books have you added to your shelves lately? Feel free to share the link to your Stacking the Shelves post in the comments and I will be sure to visit you!
I love the Hetty Feather cover. 🤗
I want to read This Much is True. I hope to get to it in September. 📘
Happy birthday! 🎉🎉🎉
Oooh I didn’t know Rick Riordan had written Norse mythology books as well, I loved the Percy Jackson series so… I may have to purchase!
Happy birthday! I have not tried Tik-Tok so you are ahead of me. I love finding bargain books! Enjoy your books and have a wonderful weekend! https://cindysbookcorner.blogspot.com/2022/08/stacking-shelves-35-sunday-post-32.html
The Magnus Chase series is good 🙂
I did not know about the Stranger Things tie-in novels either. Interesting! Have fun reading this week. My shelf is on my blog!
