This week, I spent a lot of time with my daughter making preparations for the 75th VE Day. We didn’t have any union flags so we made some red, white and blue bunting for our garden fence from some old plastic bags. I also printed some colouring pages for my daughter to complete and stuck them up in the kitchen.
Today is our 6th wedding anniversary! It feels like yesterday. During that time we’ve made great progress with our careers, gone on some fantastic holidays, had our beautiful daughter and made some wonderful memories.

My daughter and I continued our craft experiments and a few days ago we made this spring centrepiece.

I went into work to supervise the children of keyworkers on Tuesday, and it was nice to have a change of scene. This has been my first week of lockdown in the UK, and it hasn’t been all that bad. I’m missing family, but we’ve been able to have some good video chats and I’m messaging people more than ever. I’m trying not to dwell too much on the bad news in the media and focus on the little things that bring me joy.
