It’s been a while since I joined in with the WEP challenge but I really want to get back into the habit. This piece was originally going to be prose but somehow it kept wanting to turn itself into a poem.
I attended my first in-person author event last month: Boston Book Festival 2021. It was the first event of its kind in my home town of Boston, Lincolnshire and it was wonderful to meet so many local authors, illustrators and readers.
I am excited to announce that I will be hosting a book stall at Boston Book Festival (UK)!
My short story “Beneath the Roots” will be featured in the anthology Fall Into Fantasy 2021, coming September 21st from Cloaked Press.
It’s been a busy month at work but I’m currently on half-term break for a week. I’m hoping to have fun with my daughter and recharge my batteries before the madness of term 6 begins.
I realised today that I haven’t done one of these updates since March. Oops. Things have been quite busy since I finished working from home and returned to working in school full time.
This month the IWSG asks: Are you a risk-taker when writing? Do you try something radically different in style/POV/etc. or add controversial topics to your work?
I haven’t done a Sunday Post since Valentine’s Day because I’ve been quite busy lately. I’ve been working from home and homeschooling “Little Dreamer” 3 days a week for the last couple of months.
