I’ve not kept up with my usual updates for a few weeks due to being busy and under the weather, so I thought I’d check in before unplugging over the festive period. Our Christmas plans are a little up in the air at the moment due to family illness, but we will try to make the best of things.
This week, I spent a lot of time with my daughter making preparations for the 75th VE Day. We didn’t have any union flags so we made some red, white and blue bunting for our garden fence from some old plastic bags. I also printed some colouring pages for my daughter to complete and stuck them up in the kitchen.
Today is our 6th wedding anniversary! It feels like yesterday. During that time we’ve made great progress with our careers, gone on some fantastic holidays, had our beautiful daughter and made some wonderful memories.
It’s been a pretty good couple of weeks. Working from home resumed on Monday and I’ve been looking into ways I can support my students with their reading and spelling while the school is closed.
My daughter and I continued our craft experiments and a few days ago we made this spring centrepiece.
Happy Easter everyone! I know that this year has been quite different and strange, but I hope you managed to celebrate in some way if Easter is important to you. I’m writing my Sunday Post on a Monday because time has lost all meaning to me.
