I’m still recovering from what I assume was the flu. It started off as a regular head cold with a productive cough. I seemed to get better for a few days before suddenly coming down with a high temperature, shivering, dizziness and aches and pains all over.
I’m a day late posting, but here are my answers to this week’s questions, which are all about the wonder that is the human brain.
Not much writing news of late, except that I had a wonderful time delivering a writing workshop at Boston Book Fest. I did a lot of networking with other authors and joined a few mailing lists for local writers which I think could lead to some exciting opportunities.
Apart from developing a rotten cold that has zapped most of my energy, it’s not been a bad week. I’ve been enjoying my new Literacy groups at work and getting quite a lot ticked off my “to do” list.
It’s been a busy couple of weeks since returning to work. I’ve had training days, new classes to meet and test, medical appointments for my daughter, choir practice and my first ever writing workshop at Boston Book Fest. There’s been a lot of rushing around and not much “me time”.
We spent bank holiday weekend at Kew Gardens in Southwest London. It was a long journey to get there (about 4 hours) but we had a lovely time. We stayed at Warren House, a beautiful 1865 Victorian hotel.
