Apart from developing a rotten cold that has zapped most of my energy, it’s not been a bad week. I’ve been enjoying my new Literacy groups at work and getting quite a lot ticked off my “to do” list.
It’s been a busy couple of weeks since returning to work. I’ve had training days, new classes to meet and test, medical appointments for my daughter, choir practice and my first ever writing workshop at Boston Book Fest. There’s been a lot of rushing around and not much “me time”.
We spent bank holiday weekend at Kew Gardens in Southwest London. It was a long journey to get there (about 4 hours) but we had a lovely time. We stayed at Warren House, a beautiful 1865 Victorian hotel.

This is the first time I’ve taken part in the Wednesday Hodgepodge, but I’ve been reading the posts for a while and it seems like fun. Here are my answers to this week’s questions:
I’ve had a great week enjoying the sunshine and spending time with family and friends. On Monday, we visited Hubbards Hills in Louth, one of my favourite woodlands. It was beautiful weather for a paddle in the stream and a walk in the shade of the trees
Things are looking up for me this summer. After having my upper left wisdom tooth extracted on the 22nd of June, the daily headaches and sinus pain I had since January subsided and I now no longer need to take naproxen or co-codamol.
Although my chronic pain issues continue, I’ve had lots of distractions this week because I’ve been off work for half term.
I’ve had a pretty good week. I still The last couple of weeks have been tough. Pain from my chronic tension headache, toothache, sinuses and TMJD has been worse than ever and is starting to get me down.
