Due to increasing hosting fees and other expenses, I have recently begun to monetise my blog in order to help cover these costs and keep my blog going. The up-keep of this blog costs me around £150 a year and includes things like hosting, the custom domain name, the SSL certificate (which keeps your data secure), security plugins and design tools.

Below is my policy regarding affiliate links, sponsored posts and paid-for reviews. If you have any questions about this, please email curiousdaydreams@gmail.com.

Affiliate Links

Dusting the Soul contains links to related affiliate products and services. This means that if you click on one of these links and purchase a product, at no extra cost to yourself, I will receive a small commission. Any earnings from this will help to pay for costs such as web hosting.

The affiliate links can be found in the sidebar under ‘Affiliates’ and occasionally in posts such as reviews. When they appear in posts, there will be a disclosure at the top of the post.

Dustingthesoul.com is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to amazon.com.

I don’t want to ruin my blog my filling it with ads so I try to keep them to a minimum and only display ads that I think will be relevant to my audience.

Sponsored Posts

Occasionally this blog will feature a sponsored post for which I receive a small fee. In these instances, I will always put a disclosure at the top of the post. These posts will not involve my review of a product or service and they typically make up less than 1% of my total posts.

Paid-for Reviews

I will NEVER accept payment for a review. Occasionally, authors or publishers may send me a free ARC of a book to review or book-related swag such as bookmarks and badges. This will never influence the content of my review.
