In April, I completed Blogging from A-Z Challenge for the 9th time and, as usual, it was lots of fun. Below are my thoughts on what went well and what I could improve on next year, as well as the full list of posts.
Well done to everyone who completed the challenge. Don’t forget to sign up for the Road Trip and please consider buying a T-shirt.

What went well
- I managed to publish all 26 posts on time.
- Readers seemed to enjoy the theme and many returned several times.
- It was fun allowing my readers to choose the theme and they chose a topic that was much easier for me to prepare for as I didn’t have to do any lengthy research.
- I finished writing and pre-scheduling my posts by about 15th April.
- I had some wonderful comments from readers which made me smile.
- Throughout April, I had 331 visitors to my blog, 85 likes and 131 comments. Fellow writers and bloggers also liked and shared my social media posts.
- I discovered some great new blogs to follow.
- I enjoyed visiting several other blogs regularly.
- I achieved the social media challenge, remembering to share my posts on Facebook and Twitter.
What I could improve next time
- I could have written and scheduled all my posts before April to give me more time to visit other blogs and reply to comments.
- I didn’t get around to visiting as many other blogs as I wanted to. I have signed up for the A-Z Road Trip so will be rectifying that in the coming months. If you left a comment on my blog during April and I haven’t yet visited yours, I am sorry for the delay and I will definitely be popping over to your blog soon!

Thank You
Thank you so much to everyone who liked, shared and commented on my posts, particularly those that returned a few times. Your insightful, interesting and amusing comments were the highlight of the challenge for me. It was lovely to read about the conversations you’ve had with your own children and grandchildren.
A huge thank you to the A to Z Challenge team: Arlee Bird (founder) @ Tossing it Out, J Lenni Dorner (captain) @ Blog of Author J Lenni Dorner, Zalka Csenge Virág @ The Multicolored Diary, John Holton @ The Sound of One Hand Typing, Jayden R Vincente @ J R Vincente Erotica Writer and Jeremy Hawkins (graphics) @ Hollywood Nuts. They do an amazing job of organising the challenge every year.
Did you take part in the A to Z Challenge this year? How did it go? Are you thinking of joining next year?
Well done Tizzy. It was a delightful and eye-opening read. If only we didn’t lose so many observational, imaginative and common sense skills as we age ☺
That’s a great reflections post. Interesting that 5 of the words you chose were the same as mine. https://suestrifles.wordpress.com/a-to-z-2021/
Thanks for the mention 🙂 I’ll be doing the A-Z again next year, again about Faerie but with a slight twist! I have my theme, post titles and post topics — now I just have to do the research and write them. LOL.

Thanks for the shout-out. I look forward to your future themes. I’ll definitely be back again next year.
