The Insecure Writer's Support Group badge. This month's topic is writing rituals.

It’s time for another Insecure Writer’s Support Group post to boost my confidence and encourage myself to engage with the writing community. The IWSG post on the first Wednesday of every month.

This month’s awesome co-hosts are: PJ Colando, J Lenni Dorner, Deniz Bevan, Kim Lajevardi, Natalie Aguirre, and Louise – Fundy Blue!

Writing News

Fairytale Dragons from Dragon Soul Press, featuring my short story “Forged in Flames” is now available for preorder on Kindle at the link below:

https://books2read.com/DSPFD

Here’s the blurb:

“Wise dragons, evil dragons, elemental dragons, oh my! A new twist on fairytales with a fresh element: dragons. Each fairytale has been reimagined with these beasts based on the author’s preference. These classic characters will never see this coming. Retellings include Swan Princess, Hansel and Gretel, Elves and the Shoemaker, Frog Prince, and many more.

Featuring stories from Ashley L. Hunt, R.L. Davennor, Anstice Brown, Denise Ruttan, Lydia Anne Stevens, Andrea J. Hargrove, S.O. Green, Kay Humble, Damien Mckeating, and Nathan Slemp.”

Forged in Flames is a retelling of Rapunzel with an assertive heroine and, of course, a magnificent dragon.

Dream Beta Partner

If you could choose one author, living or dead, to be your beta partner, who would it be and why?

My dream beta partner would be Neil Gaiman. He writes in all my favourite genres and I admire his work so much. I feel I could learn a lot from him about storytelling and worldbuilding. He probably wouldn’t be too harsh or condescending either. I’d also love to get sneak previews of his WiPs!

Over to You

Who would your dream beta partner be? Have you got any writing news you’d like to share?
