The Latest in my Life
I’ve been getting active this week as I’ve finally run out of excuses not to exercise. My main goals are to feel more energetic, increase my stamina and improve my overall health and fitness. I’d like to get back within a healthy weight range again, but I’m not focusing too much on the numbers on the scale. How I feel in my own skin is more important to me.
I’ve been using the Wii Fit and EA Active II games as I enjoy the step aerobics routines on there and can easily track time spent and calories burned. I’m mixing it up with things like Zumba, aerobics, weights, walking and virtual classes like Mr Motivator. Feel free to add me as a friend on My Fitness Pal or FitBit if you’re also on a fitness journey.
My online reading groups have gone well so far and have been quite enjoyable to run. I’ve also done a lot of phonics and literacy learning games with my daughter to help prepare her for starting school in September.
This weekend, I took some time to review my goals for the year, since covid-19 has thrown me a bit of a curve-ball. I made a new Pinterest board called 2020 Vision to inspire me and keep me focused.
No blogging, writing or reading news this week as I’ve mainly been focused on getting active and playing with my daughter. There are so many things I want to do but I feel like the days just fly by and I never get all the things done.
We watched Iron Man 2 and Thor as part of our Marvel Movie Marathon so it will be The Incredible Hulk up next week. We also watched some Studio Ghibli anime and How to Train Your Dragon 2.
It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog. This is your news post, so personalize it! Include as much as you want or as little. Be creative, it can be a vlog or just a showcase of your goodies. Link up once a week or once a month, you decide. Book haul can include library books, yard sale finds, arcs and bought books..share them!~Kimberly
