The Latest in my Life
Today is our 6th wedding anniversary! It feels like yesterday. During that time we’ve made great progress with our careers, gone on some fantastic holidays, had our beautiful daughter and made some wonderful memories.
This year will be a strange one, and we haven’t bothered to get each other gifts or cards. But we’re celebrating later by having a takeaway delivered (avoiding contact with the delivery driver and taking precautions with the packaging). We’ll probably have some wine and ice-cream while watching a film if we can get my daughter to bed at a sensible time.
This week, I’ve been preparing to start online lessons with my students from next week, which should be fun. I’ve also been doing some maths and phonics games with my daughter, playing top-secret spies, experimenting with air dry clay, taking part in my online meditation group and doing another virtual quiz.
For school choir this week we are working on a special project for VE Day, which I will hopefully be able to share with you next week.
I finally managed to catch-up with my diary and record all my thoughts about everything that has happened over the past 6 weeks. I think it’ll be interesting to look back on one day.
On the Blog
I successfully completed the A-Z challenge! My reflections post, in which I share what went well and what I can improve on for next year, will be going up tomorrow.
You can find all my “Family Fun at Home” blog posts here.
I finally got all my blog posts pinned to Pinterest, which I’ve been meaning to do for ages.
What I’m Writing
I didn’t do any writing this past week, but I’ve got work to do on my novel next week and I’m looking forward to researching ideas for the IWSG anthology contest (theme to be revealed next week).
I’m currently reading The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman, and so far I love it!
I’m looking forward to watching The Mandalorian tonight. This week, we watched quite a few films, including Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh and Zootropolis.
How was your week? Have you celebrated any special events during the lockdown? What have you been doing to keep you busy?
