Z is for Zing and Zest-It’s Release Day for Masquerade: Oddly Suited! #AtoZChallenge

Posted April 30, 2019 in A-Z Challenge / 2 Comments

The Blogging from A-Z Challenge continues today. Throughout April I’m posting about my life as a writer, including my inspirations, frustrations and celebrations.

Today is the notoriously tricky letter Z. Yesterday, I talked about how the writing life is one of extreme ups and downs. Today happens to be one of those ‘yippee’ moments, and I am feeling full of zing and zest! Not only am I relieved to have finally completed the A-Z challenge, but I also get to share exciting bookish news!

It’s Release Day!

The reason I’m so excited and buzzing despite my lack of sleep last night is because Masquerade: Oddly Suited releases today and you can order it here! This Insecure Writer’s Support Group anthology features ten young adult romance stories by different authors, one of which is my story “Sea of Sorrows”! This is big news for me because it’s the first story I’ve had published in an anthology and I can now officially call myself a published author!

The whole process has been an amazing experience for me. Finding out that I was one of the winners of the IWSG competition was a huge confidence boost and I’ve learned so much about editing and book promotion. I’m thrilled to be working with Dancing Lemur Press and the nine other authors involved. Everyone has been so friendly and supportive and I can’t thank them enough. It’s wonderful to have some new writing friends to chat to and learn from.
