The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Reviewer.

It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog. This is your news post, so personalize it! Include as much as you want or as little. Be creative, it can be a vlog or just a showcase of your goodies. Link up once a week or once a month, you decide. Book haul can include library books, yard sale finds, arcs and bought books..share them!

This week in my life

This week I’ve felt much more motivated to write and blog so things are looking up. I’ve been busy at work but nothing really out of the ordinary. Today we got into the Halloween spirit with a trip to our local pumpkin patch, which was lots of fun.

I feel like I’ve finally stopped lamenting the end of summer and am actually starting to look forward to autumn activities like pumpkin carving, Halloween parties, bonfire night and cozy nights snuggled under blankets drinking hot chocolate.

This week on the blog

I’m getting back into the swing of things on the blog but I still need to catch up with my return visits and check out all the posts on my feed. I’ll probably have a chance to catch up in a couple of weeks when I’m off work.

Writing update

I’m still working on a YA short story called ‘Sea of Sorrows’ for a competition and so far I think it’s going well. I’ll hopefully finish it this week so I can begin editing while I’m off work.

What I’m reading

I’m still reading Killing Katie by Brian Spangler. It was kind of ‘meh’ until about halfway through and then it got really juicy and interesting. I’m hoping the ending will be explosive.

Latest goodies

Unbelievably, I didn’t buy any new books this week! That’s good news really as I’m supposed to be saving for Christmas.

Before you go…

How was your week? Any news to share? Let me know in the comments!

    • Yes, there are lots of nice events to look forward to this time of year. I’m not a fan of the cold but I try to look forward to Bonfire Night, Halloween and all the warm treats.
