The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Reviewer.

It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog. This is your news post, so personalize it! Include as much as you want or as little. Be creative, it can be a vlog or just a showcase of your goodies. Link up once a week or once a month, you decide. Book haul can include library books, yard sale finds, arcs and bought books..share them!

This week in my life

This week has gone so fast, I’m not even sure what I’ve done? Work has been going well and I’m on track with my writing goals but nothing out of the ordinary has happened. It’s been a pretty standard week. We did go to a local fun day today, which was nice.

This week on the blog

I’m sorry if you’ve all been getting a lot of error messages from my blog. I’ve been having a lot of technical problems with my server that are messing things up. I’m looking into sorting it with my host, but you know what these customer support lines are like. If you do encounter any errors while commenting or accessing the site, I’d really appreciate it if you could let me know at curiousdaydreams@gmail.com so I can try to fix it. Thanks!

Writing Update

Camp NaNoWrimo 2018 badgeCamp NaNoWriMo is still going well for me, I’ve been getting up early to write every day and I’ve actually impressed myself at how well I’m sticking to it.

I’ve had a few surprises so far; one of my characters became an android and another one I was going to kill off decided he wanted to stick around to annoy my MC.

We’ve reached the mid-way point now and the story is actually beginning to take on a life of its own. I’ve even figured out the magic system. I’m excited to see where the rest of the story goes now.

I keep renaming my characters so often though, I can’t settle on the perfect names yet. I’ve been doing lots of searching through baby name databases to the extent that I had to reassure my husband it was purely for writing research. Hopefully, I’ll find some good names that will stick soon.

What I’m reading

Still reading Carve the Mark and I’m also listening to the audiobook of The Last Jedi by Jason Fry.

  1. I hope your issues get resolved. I hate it when things don’t work. It looks like you have some good books to help you get past it Anne – Books of My Heart

  2. Sorry about the blog issues. I’m always scared of messing with my blog because it’s so easy to break everything and so hard to fix it. I’m glad your writing project is going well. Have a good week!

    • I don’t know why so much is going wrong with it lately. I’m considering switching to a different host, but I’m also scared that will mess things up further!

  3. I hope your issues get fixed! I meant to message you that I was having troubles, but then I saw my comments go through. So I thought it was my end!!

I hope you’re enjoying Carve the Mark, I’ve heard mixed reviews!!

    • I’ve complained to my host but they can’t seem to reproduce the problem to see what’s wrong. Very frustrating! It might be time to switch hosts. It’s good so far but I have to admit it hasn’t grabbed me like Children of Blood and Bone did.
