The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Reviewer.

It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog. This is your news post, so personalize it! Include as much as you want or as little. Be creative, it can be a vlog or just a showcase of your goodies. Link up once a week or once a month, you decide. Book haul can include library books, yard sale finds, arcs and bought books..share them!

This week in my life

I hope you’re all having a great weekend. The weather is beautiful here and we’ve been out for Sunday dinner with family. I’m feeling really summery!

Thursday was the last day of exams at work and things are starting to look up. There’s still a lot to do, but I feel like I can breathe again. I received a couple of compliments from my colleagues, a little thank-you card from my boss and a bouquet of flowers from one of the invigilators, all of which cheered me up and made me feel appreciated.

This week on the blog

I’ve signed up for Bloggiesta and Blog Ahead, so I’m busy doing a lot of admin work behind the scenes!

Next week’s line-up

  • Tuesday-Top Ten Tuesday & What’s On Your Nightstand?
  • Wednesday-National Writing Day
  • Saturday-Book Blogger Hop
  • Sunday-The Sunday Post

Plus at least one book review, hopefully!

What I’m reading

I’m still listening to the audiobook of Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi. It seems really long, but maybe that’s because I’ve been dipping in and out of it when I have time. I love this story, so I don’t want it to ever end!

  1. I also listened to the audiobook of Children of Blood and Bone and thought it was amazing. I’d love to do Bloggiesta but the timing is always off for me. I tend to work on my blog, particularly things I don’t know whenever I have time. I prefer to do it behind the scenes though. Anne – Books of My Heart

    • I kind of have to force myself to do that stuff by publicly declaring what I’m doing ha ha. I didn’t think anything could top Strange the Dreamer this year but I think CoBaB might have done it.

  2. Happy summer Tizzy! It feels like I’m settling into it as well. I’m looking forward to Children of Blood and Bone – I’m waiting for the audiobook from my library. I’ve just finished “The Bees” by Laline Paull, and I’m giving it a thumbs up.

    • I’m glad you’re getting the audiobook, I personally think it’s the best way to experience it. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. I hadn’t heard of The Bees but I just typed it into Goodreads and I saw ‘The Handmaid’s Tale meets The Hunger Games’ – SOLD! The hive concept sounds really unique.

  3. Good luck with Bloggiesta and Blog Ahead! Glad it was a good week.

Rogue, Prisoner, Princess looks like a great read!

Ugh! The Bloggiesta! I commented just the other day that it sounded interesting, but then I got busy with other projects and never signed up and it’s now half over. I guess I’ll have to find another way to finish my list!

    • There’s always next time. The next one will be a week long I think so more time to get stuff done. I didn’t really get much done this time around.
