The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog. This is your news post, so personalize it! Include as much as you want or as little. Be creative, it can be a vlog or just a showcase of your goodies. Link up once a week or once a month, you decide. Book haul can include library books, yard sale finds, arcs and bought books..share them!
This week in my life
I hope you’re all having a great weekend. The weather is beautiful here and we’ve been out for Sunday dinner with family. I’m feeling really summery!
Thursday was the last day of exams at work and things are starting to look up. There’s still a lot to do, but I feel like I can breathe again. I received a couple of compliments from my colleagues, a little thank-you card from my boss and a bouquet of flowers from one of the invigilators, all of which cheered me up and made me feel appreciated.
This week on the blog
I’ve signed up for Bloggiesta and Blog Ahead, so I’m busy doing a lot of admin work behind the scenes!

What I’m reading
I’m still listening to the audiobook of Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi. It seems really long, but maybe that’s because I’ve been dipping in and out of it when I have time. I love this story, so I don’t want it to ever end!

Latest goodies
I snagged some more free ebooks (click to see them on Goodreads):

Links I’m loving
- I’d Love to Read About: Underground Places and Garbage (a new feature from A J)
- Visual Novel Review: Monster Prom by Beautiful Glitch (a fun video game review from Kristen)
- Transatlantic Cruise: Iceland 8/8 (Amber’s beautiful pictures will give you serious wanderlust)
Before you go…
How was your week? What are you reading?
I’m feeling summery too. I like that word! LOL Been soaking up the sun and swimming in the pool. Sounds like nice times at work too. Glad to hear you are being appreciated:)
My Sunday Post
Sounds perfect! I’m looking forward to some beach and pool days in a few weeks.
I also listened to the audiobook of Children of Blood and Bone and thought it was amazing. I’d love to do Bloggiesta but the timing is always off for me. I tend to work on my blog, particularly things I don’t know whenever I have time. I prefer to do it behind the scenes though. Anne – Books of My Heart
I kind of have to force myself to do that stuff by publicly declaring what I’m doing ha ha. I didn’t think anything could top Strange the Dreamer this year but I think CoBaB might have done it.
Happy summer Tizzy! It feels like I’m settling into it as well. I’m looking forward to Children of Blood and Bone – I’m waiting for the audiobook from my library. I’ve just finished “The Bees” by Laline Paull, and I’m giving it a thumbs up.
I’m glad you’re getting the audiobook, I personally think it’s the best way to experience it. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. I hadn’t heard of The Bees but I just typed it into Goodreads and I saw ‘The Handmaid’s Tale meets The Hunger Games’ – SOLD! The hive concept sounds really unique.
I’m glad work is going well. Good luck with blogging ahead! I need to do that, too. Have a great week. Happy summer!
Thanks AJ, you too!
Aw yay! That sounds like a much better week. Hope you guys had a great weekend!
Yes, things have improved a lot thanks. The weekend was great yet sadly went too fast as usual. Hope you have a good week.
Good luck with Bloggiesta and Blog Ahead! Glad it was a good week.
Rogue, Prisoner, Princess looks like a great read!
Thanks, Greg. Yes, I liked the sound of the synopsis. Hope you have a great week and thanks for stopping by.
Ugh! The Bloggiesta! I commented just the other day that it sounded interesting, but then I got busy with other projects and never signed up and it’s now half over. I guess I’ll have to find another way to finish my list!
There’s always next time. The next one will be a week long I think so more time to get stuff done. I didn’t really get much done this time around.
Good weather, dinner with family, nice things from coworkers—sounds like you’ve had a great week! Your freebie books look great too 🙂
It was definitely my kind of week! I shouldn’t get all these freebies really as I don’t have time to read them, but who can resist?
Good luck on Bloggiesta and Blog Ahead! I should join, but every time I join something, I go on my own merry road and forget about the event entirely. ?
I do that sometimes too! I’m often trying to get it all done just before the challenge ends. Oh well!
The Children of Blood and Bone is something I keep seeing everywhere. I must look into it…
Hope you had a good week!
I honestly can’t recommend it highly enough! Have a great week and thanks for dropping by, Nicci.
