The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog. This is your news post, so personalize it! Include as much as you want or as little. Be creative, it can be a vlog or just a showcase of your goodies. Link up once a week or once a month, you decide. Book haul can include library books, yard sale finds, arcs and bought books..share them!
This week in my life
It’s been another busy week that has just flown by! Yesterday, I had a great evening out at a 1940s dance, you can read all about it here. We get a week off work for half term so I am really looking forward to spending some quality time with my family as well as catching up with my reading, writing and blogging.
This week on the blog
I’m sorry I’ve been slow replying to comments this week, I’ve just been so busy. I’m hoping to catch up with my blog hopping in the next week. I’ve also signed up for the A-Z Challenge Road Trip, which means I’ll be aiming to visit all the A-Z posts on the list over the next 10 months.

What I’m reading
I actually haven’t picked up anything since I read Ink, but I want to start a new book today. What do you think I should read next?
- Ready Player One
- Carve the Mark
- The Girl at Midnight
Let me know which I should read in the comments!
Latest goodies
I just had to buy Ronel Janse van Vuuren’s new story collection, Once…Tales, Myths and Legends of Faerie on Kindle.
Links I’m loving
- What book bloggers need to know (and do) about GDPR (Ashley explains everything in laymen’s terms).
- How I track my reading-bullet journalling (just check out this gorgeous layout!)
- Nerd Church: The Basics of Self-Care (some good advice about looking after yourself)
- Why “historical accuracy” isn’t a reason to exclude diversity (an interesting discussion about including diversity in stories).
Before you go…
How was your week? What are you reading?
I loved Ashley from Nose Graze’s post about GDPR! She really has a way of explaining things that make sense to me without making me feel like an idiot 🙂 Have a great week!
Sounds like a great week! Enjoy the weekend…and the books you are reading.
The 1940s dance sounds like a lot of fun. Have a good week!
I love your Sunday post Tizzy – I do an end of month round-up post. It’s the one that I find the most fun to write because it’s a little overview of the nice parts of the last few weeks. You sound like you’ve been pretty busy with the blogging and all the commenting and also this GDPR stuff that we’re all tryint to get our heads around!
Busy is good. I hope you get to relax and read over your break. A change of pace is also refreshing. Anne – Books of My Heart
I actually emailed Ashley about GDPR, but I still need to read her post. I THINK I have it all covered, but I want to make sure. lol I hope you have a great week off and get lots of reading in!!

Her post really breaks things down in a helpful way. It reassured me that I had done the important things but also reminded me to add a tick box to my review request form, which I totally forgot about. I hope you have a good week too.
Your week sounds fun. I haven’t signed up for the road trip…still kind of hungover from April 🙂 The short story is one of my favourite formats actually. Enjoy your book!
I love short stories too. I know what you mean, it takes a long time to recover after doing the A-Z challenge. Still fun, though!
A 1940s dance, how fun! Don’t worry, I”ve been slow replying to comments too. We all have other things to deal with sometimes!
True. Life is for living and if we aren’t busy offline then there would be nothing to blog about!
If it makes you feel any better, I’m way behind on comments too. It can be hard to keep up with everything!!
I’m all caught up now. This week off work has been great for catching up with all my blogging to-dos. When I’m at work they build up quickly if I don’t keep on top of them.
I week off from work sounds great! I recommend Girl at Midnight! 🙂
It was bliss! I am really looking forward to reading that one. I’m expecting it to be a bit like Daughter of Smoke and Bone.
