This week in my life
Work has been super busy as all our students are sitting exams. I’ve been so tired in the evenings that I’ve been going to bed early and reading. My to-do list keeps piling up, but I feel I don’t have the energy to tackle it!
Yesterday, we had a lovely day at a local wildlife park with my best friend. I was thrilled to get so close to the tigers and my daughter loved seeing all the animals and kept telling the parrots off for being ‘too noisy’, threatening to give them a timeout if they didn’t be quiet (she’s 2 and very bossy).
This week on the blog
This wasn’t really a productive blogging week, I only published two posts. However, I have been working on more reviews behind the scenes that will hopefully be published this week.
I’ve also been catching up with all the posts I marked as ‘read later’ on Feedly. I had 289 in total, going back to April when I got a bit busy with the A-Z challenge. I’ve been visiting them all and leaving a comment on most and I’ve got it down to about 80 now. The end is in sight!
Next week’s line-up
- Tuesday-Top Ten Tuesday/Teaser Tuesday
- Wednesday-WiP Wednesday
- Friday-Book Blogger Hop: First Book I Read by Myself
- Sunday-The Sunday Post
Plus (hopefully) reviews of Sever and Ink.
What I’m reading
I finished reading Ink by Alice Broadway a couple of days ago (review coming soon). It was quite interesting and unique. I also finally finished The INFJ Writer (review here) which I’ve been dipping in and out of for months.
Links I’m loving
- Are Millenials Killing the Fairy Tale? (a look at the evolution of folktales and how they differ from fairy tales).
- Activism = Self Care (how personal issues can be political and vice versa).
- 11 Ways to Spring Clean Your Blog (great tips for getting organised).
- The Milky Gay (my friend started a blog about her experiences as a mum, go check it out!)
Before you go…
How was your week? What are you reading?
