The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog. This is your news post, so personalize it! Include as much as you want or as little. Be creative, it can be a vlog or just a showcase of your goodies. Link up once a week or once a month, you decide. Book haul can include library books, yard sale finds, arcs and bought books..share them!
This week in my life
This week went by so fast! I’ve been busy at work preparing for exam season, which begins this coming Monday. We’ve had a few decorators over to have a look at our house and give quotes for a big refurbishment job, which I’m excited about. We also booked a week’s holiday to Norfolk in the summer and I’m visualising relaxing beach days and fun family trips already.
This week on the blog
In light of GDPR, I’ve tightened up privacy and security on the blog and switched over to HTTPS. I also created a new Privacy & Security Policy and a Payment Disclosure and updated my Giveaway Policy, Review Policy and FAQs. You may have noticed that now when you leave a comment, there is a new box asking you to give consent for your details to be stored. Annoying, but necessary in this data-driven age.
I’ve also signed up with a CDN called Cloudfare in a bid to speed up my site, so that should make a difference soon.

What I’m reading
I finished reading Sever by Lauren DeStefano earlier in the week and last night I started reading Ink by Alice Broadway (very interesting and a bit creepy so far).

Latest goodies
I received a copy of In the Shadow of the Dragon King by J.Keller Ford that I won from YASH.

Before you go…
How was your week? What are you reading?
It sounds like your week was very full, Tizzy!
I had trouble getting on your site at first, it looked like a text-only until I clicked that I was ok with the site keeping cookies.
I have updated my privacy policy and cookie policy as well. It’s kind of weird that we have to do it – because most folks who use the internet know this is what is going to happen anyway. I guess it’s better to be safe than sorry, though.
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading.
Sorry about the site display issue. I recently started using Cloudfare and I think that maybe caused the problem as it was switching over. Hopefully, the GDPR stuff is all sorted now.
I’m new to the Sunday post. It was a busy week, even tho I didn’t have as many days at work. I’m trying to get a bit ahead so I can tackle some other projects. I’m relaxing a bit with the Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang. It’s funny and nerdy and a bit sexy. I try to rotate my genres to keep myself not getting in a reading funk. Anne – Books of My Heart
I like to rotate genres as well. I don’t read romance or contemporary that often but every now and then I feel the urge. I’ve not read the Kiss Quotient but it sounds good, I’ll check it out on Goodreads.
Hope your exams will go well!
Good luck with exam season!
Ooh a vacation, that’ll be fun! Ugh, I’m so stressed about GDPR. I’m trying to work on all that too.
Oh, vacation! Good for you – we all need relaxing beach days! I hope you do enjoy them, especially if you’re remodeling along with everything else?! That’s exciting, but also exhausting! I hope your exams go swimmingly. 🙂
Ah, I was able to lose the cookie bar and use the WP GDPR Compliance. The tick box is obnoxious, but as you said a necessary evil. Now if they could allow us to exclude ourselves so I don’t have to checkbox each time I comment that would be great..lol
