I’ve just signed up for the Summer 2018 Comment Challenge, an annual event hosted by Lonna @ FLYLēF and Alicia @ A Kernel of Nonsense which runs from June to the end of August.
The idea of the challenge is to help bloggers connect with each other and form some new friendships. Every month, participants are paired with another book blogger and you’re encouraged to comment on each other’s blogs all month long. There are two options to choose from-either 5+ or 10+ comments, depending on what you can commit to.
You can find out more about the challenge and sign up (before May 26th) here.
It’s the first time I’m participating in this challenge and I’m hoping to take part in all three months. I decided to sign up because I think commenting on each other’s blogs is a great way to support other bloggers and engaging with the community is one of my top blogging priorities this year. It would also be nice to make a new online friend and discover new content.
I signed up for 5+ comments because I know I can get pretty busy in the summer, and that level seems manageable. I really can’t wait to find out who I’ve been paired with. This is going to be fun!
Are you taking part in the comment challenge this year?
Supporting other bloggers is so important and having conversations with one another is one of the most rewarding parts of being a book blogger. I’m so glad you’ll be joining us this summer. Happy commenting!
Thanks, Alicia. I totally agree that having conversations with other bloggers is so important. I’ve made many online friends through blogging and found out about different parts of the world and hobbies that I would never have known about before.
Good luck! Sometimes I feel like a total failure at commenting. A challenge like this would probably be good for me.
Thanks. Me too! I thought it would the challenge would give me a bit of a push to make more effort.
Hi Tizzy, Welcome to the Comment Challenge. I hope you have a lot of fun and make a few lasting blogging friends. ~Lonna
Thanks Lonna, I’m sure I will! Thank you for organising this, it’s such a good idea.
