Welcome to Friday Finds, a weekly feature in which I share the blog posts, web articles, memes, pins, artwork, music and videos that have uplifted, interested or inspired me over the past week.
I’d love it if you would join in with me, so feel free to share your own discoveries or link to your own Friday Finds post in the comments and I’ll be sure to visit your blog.
Posts/Articles
- Avalinah’s Books has a useful article about generating blog traffic from Goodreads and scheduling social media posts in advance.
- Preparation is underway for this year’s Blogging from A-Z Challenge in April, with sign-ups going live on March 5th. I already have my theme chosen and will be working on scheduling my posts very soon. It’s my favourite blogging event ever! If you want to take part this year, be sure to complete the Pre-Challenge Blogging from A-Z Survey by March 3rd.
Blogs
Here are some blogs I discovered this week:
- Every Free Chance
- Vb32 Reads
- 22 is Still Young Adult
- Books and Dachshunds
- Wonderland’s Reader
- Stories and Sweeties
Products and Shops
- Brittany from The Book Addict’s Guide is going full time with her book-inspired candle making business, Novelly Yours. I think this is such a great idea and I will definitely be ordering some candles for my bookish friends in the near future.
- After seeing a video about The Last Bookstore in Los Angeles I now really want to go!
Movies
- This week I saw The Death Cure in the cinema and really loved it (even though it deviated from the book quite a bit).
- I also watched a classic dystopian film called Logan’s Run which was very entertaining, mainly because of the 1970s special effects.
Before you go…
What do you recommend I check out this week? Share your links in the comments!
Oh man, I LOVE Logan’s Run!!!! It’s hands-down a dystopian classic! 🙂
Yeah, it’s suprising I haven’t seen it before, really. Some parts were really random, like why was the old man quoting T.S Elliott’s ‘Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats’? It was good fun, though.
