Welcome to my monthly wrap-up post for January 2018, a time when I reflect on the month that has just passed, review what I’ve achieved and set my goals for next month.
January has been a busy month for me as I have made a lot of changes to the blog, including a name change, layout re-design and, of course, the switch to WordPress. I wanted to start the year as I meant to go on, dedicating much more time to the creative hobbies I enjoy. After a long time of feeling blocked, I’ve been inspired to start writing again and I feel like I finally have my ‘mojo’ back. So, all in all, it’s been a fantastic month.
Below are my stats for January:
Blogging
Total Blog posts: 12. You can find them all here.
Blogfests/events: 0
Comments: Only 1 😥 I’ve had some issues with importing my comments from Disqus but hopefully these are now resolved. I really want to work on engaging my readers better in the coming months.
New followers: +4 registered users, +2 on Bloglovin‘, +2 on Facebook
Reading
Books finished: 0. I’m still in the middle of reading The Kill Order but I haven’t had much time for reading at all this month.
Books reviewed: 0
Book tours/spotlights: 0
Creative Hobbies
WiP words written: 4000. You can find out more about my WiP here.
New poems: The Sun’s Return
New artwork: The new blog header and other layout images
Other: I’ve been experimenting with different homemade soup recipes.

Yes, I think it will be another busy month. Thanks for stopping by, Evelina.
I think your blog looks great! And I love WP, so I think you made a good decision in switching to it! And that’s awesome you wrote 4000 words in your WIP. I really need to do more writing. Good luck w/ all your Feb goals!
Thanks, Kristen. I am loving WP so far, there is so much more flexibility than other platforms. Good luck with your goals for the month too and thanks for visiting.
Well done on the 12 blogposts! Good luck with the 20 posts goal! 🙂
Thanks, Cee!
This is my first time stopping by your blog! and I love the look of it! I also love how you include your WIP in your wrap up and I think I’m going to add that to my next wrap up. Thank you for the inspiration! I hope February is a good month for you.

Glad you like the blog, Tina. I’m curious to know more about your WiP. Hope February is great for you too. Thanks for visiting.
I enjoy the clean and colorful look of your blog. I found the font easy to read too. February is already more than half over, but I’m keeping my writing goals going. Olympics are amazing so my reading time has been greatly reduced, but these games are too fun to miss.
I’m glad you like the blog layout and font, Danielle. It’s fantastic that you’re keeping up with your writing goals. I’m making good progress with mine too. I haven’t seen much of the Olympics yet but I will be catching up on iPlayer.
