Stacking the Shelves (8) Christmas Haul 2014

Today I’m taking part in a meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews. Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! If you’d like to take part please visit the launch page and sign up with the linky on Tynga’s latest post.

I didn’t receive a huge number of books for Christmas, but I did get a few that I have really been lusting after for some time.

1) The Maze Runner series boxset. After seeing the film at the cinema, I had to get my hands on this series so I can read ahead and see what happens before the next one comes out.

2) Allegiant by Veronica Roth. I’ve waited so long for this book! I read Divergent and Insurgent ages ago and the only thing that was stopping me from buying this was that I was hoping it would come out in paperback. I couldn’t wait any longer though, so I put it on my Christmas list. I can’t wait to find out what happens, although I have heard a few spoilers!

3) DK Ultimate Craft Collection-10 books with DIY craft tutorials: Stitch by Stitch, Paper Crafts, Home Crafts, Flower Arranging, Fabric Crafts, Dressmaking Skirts and Dresses, Crochet, Classic Knits, Christmas Crafts, Baby and Toddler Knits. This should definitely keep me busy for a while! I can’t wait to have a go at some of these makes, and when I do I will be sharing the results on my blog.

4) Waterstones gift card. I will probably use this to buy Dreams of Gods and Monsters by Laini Taylor.

Did you get any new books for Christmas?

  1. Yeah, I'm hoping it will live up to the good reviews I've read. Can't wait to read Allegiant as I feel very out of the loop! Thanks for dropping by.
