Stacking the Shelves (4) Christmas Haul 2013

Today I’m taking part in a meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews. Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! If you’d like to take part please visit the launch page and sign up with the linky on Tynga’s latest post.

I received quite a few new books over Christmas, here there are below:

1) They Came and Ate Us: Armageddon II: The B Movie by Robert Rankin. I’m a big fan of Mr. Rankin’s work-totally hilarious! This book was a gift from my partner, he knows me well!

2) Nocturnes and Bad Men by John Connolly. Mr. Connolly is a recent favourite in a genre I don’t usually read: crime fic. His work is pretty dark and gruesome, just the way I like it. Both books were a gift from my lovely mum and she even managed to get them signed for me!

3) Pandemonium and Requiem by Lauren Oliver. I finished reading Delirium a few of weeks ago and couldn’t wait to read the rest of the trilogy. These were both from my mum as well.

Signed books. First reads: ‘To Tizzy, Sorry about the clowns…Best Wishes, John Connolly’. Second reads: ‘To Tizzy, Beware of bad men…Helpfully, John Connolly.’

Did you get any new books for Christmas?

  1. I think out of the Delirium trilogy, Delirium was probably the best. Pandemonium is still pretty good, but Requiem had this shockingly open ending (I'm sure you must have heard of it at some point) that just has you going WHERE IS THE REST OF THE FREAKING BOOK?!
