Which author most inspires and/or influences you?
Genn’s answer:
Probably Philip K. Dick. Although that was a hard question!
For those that haven’t heard of Philip K. Dick, he’s best known for writing the sci-fi/post-apocalyptic novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?– it’s the book that the movie Blade Runner was based on. Genn apparently used to teach it in her composition class. He also wrote The Minority Report, which was later turned into a film starring Tom Cruise. You can certainly see sci-fi elements in Crewel, and who knows, maybe we’ll get to see it on the big screen one day too?
