Bernard Pivot Blogfest

Today I’m taking part in Nicole Ducleroir’s Bernard Pivot Blogfest.  It’s based on a questionnaire created by the French journalist Pivot, and is great fun to do. Thanks for hosting, Nicole!

What is your favorite word?
Chaos, ethos and other Greek-derived words.

What is your least favorite word?
Scrotum.

What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally?
The beauty of nature and love, colour, movement and emotion.

What turns you off?
Urban decay and degeneration, negativity.

What is your favorite curse word?
A synonym for an illegitimate child *cough*.

What sound or noise do you love?
My cat’s purr, my nephew’s laughter, tap dancing on a shiny floor.

What sound or noise do you hate?
Polystyrene squeaking, our squeaky tin opener, nuts squeaking on my teeth. Basically all squeaky noises.

What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?
Wildlife photographer, tv presenter, artist, animal charity worker, chocolatier.

What profession would you not like to do?
Accountant, builder, engineer.

If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?
Well done, you passed the test. You screwed up once or twice, but you learned from it and all in all you were a good person. So now you can help yourself to the all you can eat buffet and get ready to meet the people you never thought you’d see again.
